Program

1

Live Shiur

Each session begins with a Zoom shiur that carefully explains the meaning and nuance of every word of the Gemara.

2

Diagrams

As a visual learner, I love to teach with visual demonstration. Custom made charts and diagrams are used to ensure absolute clarity.

3

Chavrusas

After the shiur, participants review the material with a chavrusa (learning partner) in Zoom breakout rooms.

FAQ

What is unique about our daily Gemara Shiur?

Every word of the Gemara is meticulously translated and explained, including its prefixes, suffixes, and the nuanced implications within the Talmudic lexicon.

What is the benefit of learning with a chavrusah (study partner)?

Reviewing with a chavrusah is when a person truly engages with the Gemara to make it his own. It is also a far more enjoyable and rewarding experience than simply listening to a shiur.

What other benefits does the program offer?

Can I earn a certificate through this progam?

Daily interaction fosters a family-like community within the group. Our program aims to create a "second home" for our participants. This kinship coupled with the daily learning brings meaning and fulfillment in our lives.

For every daf learned and tested on, the participant receives a "Mastery of the Daf" Certificate signed by leading Rabbanim.

Is there a free version of this program?

What is the cost of the program?

The cost is detailed on the Registeration Form.

What is the benefit of a live shiur over a recorded shiur?

There is nothing like the clarity and excitement of a live shiur. We pause for questions and we don’t proceed until the material is clearly understood by everyone.

Everyone can learn Gemara.

About Us

DECADES OF TORAH LEARNING

& COMMUNITY

In the early 1960s, Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Hollander, z"l, had a vision: to build a vibrant community of retirees dedicated to Torah, Avodah, and Gemilas Chasadim.

That dream took shape as Kollel Orech Yamim.

Although Rabbi Hollander passed away several years ago, his legacy lives on in Yerushalayim,

Ir HaKodesh, where retirees continue to gather in the Jerusalem suburb of Neve Yaakov, united by a shared commitment to lifelong Torah learning.

Now that vision expands even further as Kollel Orech Yamim opens its doors to the entire world through a new online learning program - inviting participants everywhere to be part of this timeless mission.

Join us and become part of the dream.
